My pattern work is divided into two collections, one focusing on endangered Korean plants, and the other blending natural and architectural elements.

This collection was inspired by small stone towers commonly found near Korean temples or mountains; each stone holds unique meanings and well wishes for visitors. The architectural elements are derived from my childhood home that was built by my father and the local temple in my hometown of Daegu. Also, I express elements such as the smokiness of incense sticks and comforting fragrances in my patterns. My objective for this work is to preserve and protect myself through embodying balance, and harmony to create a safe place.
